This package is an internationalization library for Perl
that aims to be compatible with the Uniforum message translations
system as implemented for example in GNU gettext.

This package is also called: libintl-perl.

This package is a pure-perl implementation (gettext_pp). Fink scrapped
the compiled C component (gettext_xs) as of 1.32-2 in order to avoid
needing perl-versioning in fink core (newer dpkg, and texinfo).

If anyone wants gettext_xs (libintl-perl-xs), let us know.
