This version of chitex (for Linix an FreeBSD) is with Texlive (or tetex).

 Before install chitex:
      You need to install texlive (or tetex) and other packages. Read the details
      in the following .

 You need to install some packges.
   *(Install tetex or texlive.
     New package of linux contains texlive as default.)

   (0) For Fedora:
       Fedora 9-11 include package texlive.
       If you are in Fedora 9-11, you should first install:
          軟體開發   (安裝 Fedora 時 安裝)
          (或安裝 Fedora 後安裝 gcc 及 dvipdfmx) 及
          texlive-2007-30.fc9(i386, texlive-2007-35.fc10(i386)
          or texlive-2007-42.fc11(i386) )
            (安裝 Fedora 時 或 之後 安裝
              安裝 Fedora 時: 應用程式中選 "編寫與出版"
            ),
            (若為 Fedora 11, 安裝 Fedora 之後安裝
             用新增/移除軟體, 用 Find 鍵入 "texlive" 然後全選
             各項 後 "套用")

           gcc, xdvi (安裝 Fedora 之後安裝)
           dvipdfmx  (Fedora9-10, 安裝 Fedora 之後安裝
                      Fedora 11 不須安裝, chitex 會安裝)
           If you are in Fedora 11, you should also install
               kpathsea-devel-2007-42.fc11

   (1) Debian:
       Debian 4.0-5.0 include package texlive-full
       If you are in Debian 4.0, you should install:
          gcc, gawk, texlive-full, MATHLIB(libmathlib2-dev)  (一定要安裝)
          dvipdfmx, xdvi and freetype1-tools(for 4.0)
       If you are in Debian 5.0, you should install:
          gcc, gawk, texlive-full, MATHLIB(libmathlib2-dev)  (一定要安裝)
          make                                               (一定要安裝)

   (2) Ubuntu:
       Ubuntu 8.04-9.04 include package texlive-full
       If you are in Ubuntu 8.04, you should install:
          gcc, gawk, texlive-full, MATHLIB(libmathlib2-dev)  (一定要安裝)
          dvipdfmx, xdvi and freetype1-tools
       If you are in Ubuntu 8.10, you should install:
          gawk, texlive, MATHLIB(libmathlib2-dev)  (一定要安裝)
          freetype1-tools
       If you are in Ubuntu 9.04, you should install:
          gawk, texlive-full, MATHLIB(libmathlib2-dev)  (一定要安裝)
          freetype1-tools

   (3) FreeBSD:
       If you ar in FreeBSD 7.1 you should install:
          Developer (安裝系統時選取, 或之後補選取安裝)
          cjklatex
       If you ar in FreeBSD 7.2 you should install:
          Developer (安裝系統時選取, 或之後補選取安裝)
          gawk, cjklatex

        In this page (directory), download file " 6.1.2p15a28.iso" .
        Burn it into a CD or mount it as a virtual directory.
        Then in it, there is a directory 6.1.2p15a28. In the directory  6.1.2p15a28, run:
                    ./setup
        to install chitex.

 Install chitex:
        In this page (directory), download file "chitexu_15a37.tgz".
        Give command:
             zcat chitexu_15a37.tgz|tar xvf -
        to have a directory "6.1.2p15a37". Then in this directory,
        give command
             chmod +x setup
        and run:
             ./setup 
        to install chitex.
